TIAX California demonstrates alternative and advanced fuel and vehicle technologies, gathering operating and performance data.
The data collected in our demonstration work helps to establish proof of concept, refine engineering designs, and prove the viability of innovative systems under real-world conditions. Our engineers and scientists offer hands-on familiarity with transportation and energy system technologies, and our demonstrations have led to the successful deployment of numerous clean technologies.
Examples of clients for whom TIAX has performed Technology Demonstration Programs work:
- Participated in the hybrid yard hostler demonstration and characterized drayage truck duty cycles for the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles
- Participated in the demonstration of a liquefied natural gas switcher locomotive at Pacific Harbor Line, Inc.
- Developed and implemented the $2 billion Clean Trucks Program, the most ambitious and successful initiative of the San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan
