The California offices of TIAX, formerly operated as Acurex Environmental, have been making major contributions to R&D Demonstration and Deployment programs to commercialize low- and zero-emissions technologies for more than two decades. We have cultivated important relationships with relevant stakeholders to provide demonstration program support, including fuel suppliers, fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers, and federal, state and local agencies. We have amassed especially strong experience providing hands-on support to end users of heavy-duty vehicles, with a focus on cleaner conventional technologies, as well as alternatives. TIAX partners with public agencies and private firms to demonstrate advanced vehicle technologies, with the intent to gather operating data, engine and fuel system performance and engineering data. These data aid engine manufacturers in the development of heavy-duty engines, for instance, and also give fleet managers the information they need to make operational decisions.
TIAX provides comprehensive technical management and coordination for demonstrations of advanced technology low- and zero-emission vehicles. Shown on the left is the demonstration of a prototype plug-in hybrid electric yard tractor for the Port of Long Beach.
