Nano-Coatings¹

TIAX is developing nanostructured functional coatings.

TIAX’s nanostructured coatings exploit the physical texture as well as the chemical nature of a particular surface to provide significant new properties in a variety of application areas.

Specific applications include:

• Anti-fogging coatings for optical surfaces such as scopes, motorcycle helmets, binoculars, and cameras.
• Self-cleaning coatings for textiles, architectural windows and touch screens, repelling both water and oil based contaminants.
• Anti-icing coatings for aircraft and other surfaces such as power cables, windows and roofs.
